Mulberries grown in the Çoruh Valley in Artvin, which is rich in biodiversity, have a different taste due to the structure and climate of the region. The collected mulberries are crushed after boiling in cauldrons and the water is separated from the pulp in cures. While the mulberry juice obtained is boiled, the mixture prepared by mixing wheat flour, honey and milk on the side is slowly poured into it and mixed with shovels until it thickens enough. The obtained helme is poured in a thin layer on gauze cloths and kept in an airy place under the sun until it dries.

The fruit of the mulberry trees grown in Artvin's Coruh Valley is turned into kome using traditional methods. Wild mulberries grown in the valley are boiled in cauldrons and their must is extracted, and the must is boiled by adding flour, milk and honey. The mixture that the local people call herle is obtained. After the walnuts grown in the valley are sorted and stringed into the mixture, the cooking period of which has ended, it is dipped once, removed and dried. After this process, which gives the product its name, the herle part remains in a thin layer and the walnut ratio is at least 60%.
