Description

THE BEGINNING OF THE PEUGEOT INDUSTRIAL ADVENTURE

The family business was founded in 1810 by Jean-Frédéric and Jean-Pierre II PEUGEOT by converting the family hydraulic mill in the so-called “Sous-Cratet” in the town of Hérimoncourt (Doubs) into a steel mill. The family began production in different fields, including tools, springs, umbrella frames, corset frames, coffee grinders , watch parts, bicycles and similar products, all related to steel.
